eBay seller guides

Free eBay seller guides from the Productivo team, step by step. They follow the order you sell in: find an item, list it, then price it.

How-to guides

  1. Choose how you sell

Reselling and dropshipping each have their own eBay rules. Read them before you start.

  2. Find what to sell

Check what sold on eBay and what you keep after costs. Do it before you buy stock.

  3. Make one listing right

Check the title, photos, item specifics and policies before you publish.

  4. List many at once

Prepare a file, upload it, then fix the rows that fail.

  5. Price and reprice

Set a minimum price that keeps your profit. Then decide when your price should change.

Set up your store

Set up each part of Productivo in this order. Tick a topic when it is done.

  1. Connect your eBay store
    1. Open Stores and connect through eBay’s own sign-in. Productivo never asks for your eBay password.
    2. A new store needs an active plan or the 7-day free trial. You can connect several stores; one subscription covers them all.
    3. Before anything publishes, eBay needs business policies (payment, shipping, returns) and a shipping address, which you set under Settings › Store.
  2. Add your products
    1. Amazon products: paste ASINs or Amazon links on the Products page, up to 5,000 at once.
    2. Your own inventory: add a product by hand, or upload the CSV template with up to 1,000 products per file. The preview shows every row error before anything is saved.
    3. Already selling on eBay or in another app: use Transfer products on the Stores page to bring your listings in.
  3. Set your prices
    1. Settings › Pricing holds the store’s fees, profit bands and minimum profit. Productivo works out the price that leaves your profit after every cost.
    2. Review and save shows how many live listings would change before anything is sent to eBay.
    3. The Price updates switch stops every price change for the store while stock updates continue.
  4. Publish to eBay
    1. Approve a product’s price to say “list it at this price”. Nothing publishes without an approval, given by you or by Settings › Auto-approve.
    2. Ready products are published every 15 minutes, with the store’s listing template and business policies.
    3. Blacklist (VeRO) rules keep matching brands, keywords and ASINs off eBay.
  5. Handle orders
    1. Orders arrive from eBay on their own and show what each one needs next.
    2. Buy an Amazon order with the Chrome extension, by typing the Amazon order number, or let Auto Buy do it (Pro plan and up).
    3. Tracking from Amazon goes back to the eBay order by itself.
  6. Read your results
    1. Reports show revenue and profit by day or month, for the store selected in the dashboard.
    2. Add store expenses, such as software or packaging, and the totals end on net profit.
